What Is Mindful Living?

It is simply being aware and approaching life by paying attention on purpose, being fully present in the moment, with curiosity, compassion and gratitude.

Noticing career, job or business overwhelm and stress? Experiencing low energy, maybe weight gain, health issues and mood swings are all likely side effects of an unbalanced routine.

We often think “if only we had more time, less interruptions, more money, nicer friends, a better boss, co-workers who cared, kids who listened better, more comfortable shoes, a different car, looked thinner, taller, shorter, on and on and on…” then we will feel more relaxed, successful and finally happy! Right?

Well, maybe some of these alleged contributing factors to our state of mind could be managed, but what happens when, inevitably, another pops up? We fall right back into the stress zone and get stuck in the cycle again. I speak from personal experience.

Learning how to live a mindful life will help you how to first attain balance and most importantly, how to return to it. It simply helps you to recognize that happiness is already within.

“In today’s rush, we all think too much — seek too much — want too much — and forget about the joy of just being.” – Eckhart Tolle
